Bathroom makeover – from a failed project to a perfect finish

Unhappy with the results of the previous project, the customers contacted Maciek from Modny Kwadrat and asked him to rescue their bathroom. With the help of microcement and experience, he was able to not only fix the mistakes, but also create their dream space.

A difference you can see right away

This project is an example of how much difference quality workmanship can make. Modny Kwadrat took on a difficult task – improving the work of a previous team, which left behind not only aesthetic flaws, but also serious technical shortcomings: poorly constructed walls, problems with drywall and microcement.

"This bathroom turned out to be quite a challenge due to the surprises left behind by the previous occupants. When undertaking such projects, you always have to expect that something will surprise you along the way, but I underestimated the previous team in many respects. Apart from a number of mistakes made during the pre-construction stage, drywall construction, and the microcement itself, we and our clients wanted the final result to be impressive and not reveal in any way that something had gone wrong before," says Maciek from Modny Kwadrat.

The goal? To improve poorly executed microcement and create a space that will delight the eye and serve for years to come.

Microcement not only for walls and floors

This project used water-resistant HydroFest microcement in HF2005CB CLASSIC HYDRO BEIGE, finished with a matte varnish. It works perfectly in wet areas, making it ideal for bathrooms – not only for walls and floors, but also for less typical surfaces.

"In addition to the walls, we also had to cover the cabinet and ventilation cover with microcement. We covered it with microcement, both outside and inside. The result? When you open the cabinet, you see an elegant and durable storage area that fits perfectly with the entire bathroom." – recalls Maciek.

The front and interior of the cabinet and the cover have been finished with the same material as the other surfaces, creating a cohesive space without unnecessary divisions. When the cabinet is opened, you can still see the uniform, aesthetic microcement – a detail that makes an impression.
